11 Uses for Liquid Activated Stabilized Oxygen

Oxygen (O2) is a key facilitator for energy production within the cells. Energy is required for the assimilation and utilization of nutrients like amino acids, vitamins, minerals, proteins and carbohydrates. Without an adequate supply of oxygen, the cells and the brain cannot use these nutrients efficiently and effectively. This can affect the health of the cell and can certainly impact the production of energy that is responsible for every function in the cell itself.

“For almost 50 years, researchers and health practitioners have observed that patients using all forms of oxygen-based therapies have experienced improved health and well-being.” — Stephen K. Krauss, Ph.D., author of O2XYGEN: Nature’s Most Important Dietary Supplement

80% of all metabolic energy production is created by oxygen!

The human body is largely composed of oxygen, so it is no wonder that scientists are now discovering how low levels of oxygen can disrupt the body’s ability to function correctly. The oxygen concentration in a healthy human body is approximately three times that of air. Fortunately, oxygen is the most abundant element on earth comprising nearly 50% of the earth’s crust and averaging about 20% of dry air in a non-polluted environment. Scientists now also agree that oxygen plays a powerful and primary role in our overall health and well being. A growing number of researchers agree that the best way to improve health may be related to the optimum oxygenation of every cell.

Basic principles of oxygen

Mammalian life and the bioenergetic process that maintains cellular integrity depend on a continuous supply of oxygen to sustain aerobic metabolism. Reduced oxygen delivery and the failure of the cellular use of oxygen occurs in times of prolonged stress and illness and if not corrected will result in organ dysfunction and death.

Physiology of oxygen transport

Although oxygen is the substrate that cells use in the greatest quantity, and on which aerobic metabolism and cell integrity depend, the tissues have no storage system for oxygen. They rely on a continuous supply of oxygen at a rate that precisely matches the body’s changing metabolic requirements. If this supply fails, even for a few minutes, tissue hypoxemia may develop resulting in anaerobic metabolism, production of lactate, cellular dysfunction and even cellular death.

Oxygen travels from environmental air to the mitochondria of individual cells in a series of steps. The lungs extract oxygen from the atmosphere and generate a flow of oxygenated blood to the tissues to maintain aerobic metabolism. The system must be energy efficient, must match oxygen distribution with metabolic demand, and allow efficient oxygen transport across the extra-vascular tissue matrix. At the tissue level, cells must be able to extract oxygen from the extra-cellular environment and use this oxygen efficiently in their cellular metabolic processes.

Oxygen uptake in the lungs

Arterial oxygen tension (PaO2) is determined by inspired oxygen concentration, (how much oxygen is in the air that we breathe) by barometric pressure, alveolar ventilation, and how efficiently oxygen is diffused from the alveoli to pulmonary capillaries. A healthy individual may have a PaO2 reading in the 94% to 98% range. Anything below 90% can indicate some form of hypoxemia. The capillary blood is usually fully oxygenated before it has traveled one third of the distance of the alveolar-capillary interface in the lungs.

Oxygen concentration and barometric pressure

The percentage of oxygen in atmospheric air is constant at about 21% and does not change with altitude. Atmospheric pressure is the sum of the partial pressures of the constituent gases, oxygen and nitrogen, and changes with the weather and altitude.

Oxygen carrying capacity of the blood

Most oxygen (98%) is carried in the blood attached to hemoglobin (an iron molecule) with only a small amount (typically less than 2%) dissolved in the blood plasma. Despite this, the optimum hemoglobin concentration in critically ill patients is considerably lower sometimes reaching 70% or less. The lower the oxygen content of the blood, the more it impacts overall health.

Oxygen delivery from lungs to tissue

The major function of the circulatory system is to transport oxygen from the lungs to the tissues at a rate that satisfies overall oxygen consumption. The failure to supply sufficient oxygen to meet the metabolic requirements of the tissues results in circulatory shock. Under normal conditions the total or “global” oxygen delivery (DO2) is more than adequate to meet the total tissue oxygen requirements (VO2) for aerobic metabolism. Under prolonged stress and illness, this ratio is significantly altered.

How to increase oxygen levels in your body

The most common way to increase oxygen levels in your body is through deep breathing fresh air. Breathing techniques have long been used to increase oxygenation. Yoga, pilates and other body movement programs focus on controlled breathing with each movement to enhance oxygenation. Since trees are a major source of oxygen production, walking in a forest is another excellent way to improve your oxygen levels. But be aware of walking on busy highways because you will also breathe in toxic fumes. Another way to increase your oxygen levels is to drink oxygenated water.

ASO® Activated Oxygen can help replenish life-giving oxygen!

ASO® is one way to help support your body’s need for oxygen. ASO® is the premier pH balanced, non-toxic and completely stable bio-available activated oxygen dietary supplement. It has been the choice of professional practitioners around the world.

What is activated or stabilized oxygen?

ASO® is a unique formulation of activated stabilized oxygen in a saline base. Unlike its predecessors, which have used either hydrogen peroxide or chlorine bound oxygen molecules, ASO® is a natural product containing bio-available oxygen.

ASO® is the world’s premiere stabilized oxygen supplement. It’s been the best for almost a decade! The chemical components in ASO® are distilled water, sodium chloride (from sea salt), bio-available oxygen and essential and trace minerals. Other liquid-stabilized oxygen supplements bond their “active” oxygen to salt molecules forming oxychlorine or oxy-halogen compounds, which drive up the pH of these supplements to levels that could be dangerous to the skin and delicate membranes in the oral cavity if taken improperly.

11 Uses for Activated Stabilized Oxygen

ASO brand of Activated Stabilized Oxygen is an all-natural supplement that contains one of the highest concentrations of activated oxygen available. It is pH balanced (app. 7.4), contains no chlorite molecules and is non-toxic and safe to use both orally and topically. ASO can be used in human physiology, agriculture and horticulture applications, animal and pet care, cosmetics and dental products and water. Here are eleven uses for ASO:

  1. Skin Care Formulations – Oxygen, as an additional ingredient in skin care formulations, provides biochemical properties, which clearly transcends traditional hyperbaric oxygen usage. There appears to be a direct correlation between using oxygen solutions as an additive to skin care formulations and greater blood flow to tissues that may permit a greater distribution of nutrients.
  2. Acidic Body Chemistry – An acidic condition, caused by the accumulation of acidic byproducts, occurs in poorly oxygenated cells. Soft drinks, caffeine, alcohol and red meats are among the substances that cause systemic (whole body) acidity where there is an excess of positively charges hydrogen ions (H+). When excessive numbers of hydrogen ions are in the tissue environment they will combine with (and thus utilize) oxygen, resulting in an oxygen deficiency state. When cells are deprived of oxygen, lactic acid accumulates and the cellular environment becomes acidic. This reduces available oxygen for the primary function of metabolism because more oxygen is needed to neutralize the acid. The regular and daily use of stabilized oxygen may provide the cells with an abundant supply of oxygen to help neutralize the lactic acid and support healthy cell metabolism.
  3. Water Treatment – For campers, hikers or those who store water for emergencies, approximately 15-20 drops of stabilized oxygen per gallon of water have been reported to inhibit the growth of disease bacteria. This works great for your pet’s water bowls, too.
  4. You can mix 25 drops of ASO with Manuka honey or aloe vera and use topically or orally.
  5. Stabilized oxygen is believed to be an excellent cleaning and purifying wash for fruits, vegetables and meats.
  6. A 50% stabilized oxygen and 50% water solution, in a spray bottle, can reduce and in most cases eliminate flower and plant diseases like powdery mildew, black spot and rust.
  7. Add to water for house plants and cut flowers. Use 15 drops of stabilized oxygen in a vase of fresh cut flowers to keep the water fresher, enhance flower appearance and life (up to 50% longer) and encourage flower opening.
  8. Use topically on burns and simple cuts.
  9. Place a few drops on toothbrush before adding tooth soap to help eliminate plaque build up.
  10. Place drops in humidifiers.
  11. Add to aquarium water to reduce algae build-up.
