Think Clearer, Learn Better, Improve Creativity

Etherium Gold Diatary SupplementEtherium Gold is the only monatomic gold product whose efficacy has been clinically researched and tested to promote brain function. Many people experience enhanced mental clarity, greater mind-body coordination, improved learning ability, increased creativity, and calmer reactions to common, everyday stressful situations.

According to the Alphalearning Institute in Lugano, Switzerland, “Our research clearly shows that left-right brain imbalances are predominating in many mental, behavioral dysfunctions. . . It is my professional opinion that Etherium Gold would be of tremendous benefit in any of these conditions and the most obvious answer as a healthy alternative to chemicals with harmful side effects.”

INSPIRING QUOTE FOR THIS ISSUE:

“To put away aimlessness and weakness, and to begin to think with purpose, is to enter the ranks of those strong ones who only recognize failure as one of the pathways to attainment; who make all conditions serve them, and who think strongly, attempt fearlessly, and accomplish masterfully.” — James Allen, 1864-1912, British-born American Essayist, Author of As a Man Thinketh

THE HONEST TRUTH ABOUT DISHONESTY
–by Knowledge@Wharton, syndicated from knowledge.wharton.upenn.edu, Apr 08, 2014

“Most major betrayals within organizations — from accounting fraud to doping in sports — start with a first step that crosses the line, according to Dan Ariely, a leading behavioral economist at Duke and author of ‘The (Honest) Truth About Dishonesty: How We Lie to Everyone — Especially Ourselves.’ In this interview with Wharton management professor Adam Grant, Ariely helps leaders understand how to prevent people from taking that first step, how to create a code of conduct that makes rules and expectations clear and why good rules are critical to organizations. CONCENTRATION WILL OPEN ANY DOOR
By Mentor Max

The first law of success is concentration.
Concentration is your magic key
that opens the door to accomplishing anything.

When your physical and mental resources are focused,
your power to resolve problems multiples tremendously.
To do two things at once is to do neither.

Bend all of your energies to one point,
and go directly to that point,
looking neither to the right nor to the left.

Nothing can add more power to your life
as much as concentrating all your energies
on a limited set of targets.

The sun’s rays do not burn until brought to a focus.
Success is the result of well directed energy.

SPRING CLEAN YOUR GOALS AND PLANS
By Wendy Hearn

Spring is here! It’s traditionally a time for spring cleaning, getting rid of the old and making way for the new. It’s a time of new beginnings, with a sense of hope and optimism. “What’s that got to do with my business and work?” you may be wondering? Well, actually rather a lot. Now is a great time for you to spring clean your life, and your work and business. A time for cleaning out and reviewing parts of your life and business you’re ready to commit to improving. It’s like pulling out the weeds ready to plant new seeds; seeds of possibilities.

It’s an opportunity to examine your goals and clear out the ones you don’t want any longer. This may involve spring cleaning your desk and getting rid of piles of clutter. When we’re surrounded by clutter, our mind gets bogged down which prevents us from thinking clearly and being focused. Perhaps it’s time to dust away the cobwebs on your sales and marketing plans, and throw away the rubbish, i.e. the stuff that no longer forms a useful part of your plans. It may involve spring cleaning your personal life by polishing up relationships, clearing out old habits and attitudes which no longer benefit you. Or stripping back your finances to get them in good shape for the future. Why not take a vacuum to your health and exercise plans and clean out the bits you don’t want?

This clear-out can involve taking huge steps or even very small ones. Even these small things which need dealing with drain our energy and it’s surprising how much this happens. If left undone, the little tasks, like the filing cabinet drawer which jams, the unmade bed, the pile of papers on your desk, all niggle away at you and sap your energy. When these are sorted out, there is more time for other things in your life and business. Cleaning out leaves space and this space is then available for new opportunities. Opportunity for more energy, more business, more sales and more of the things you want for yourself. Now I’m not suggesting that making your bed each day will increase your business ten fold. However, the fact that it’s not niggling away at the back of your mind and your attitude is now one of completing tasks, you’ll more naturally finish things in your business. You’ll be more able to follow through and complete, even if it’s just concentrating on making the telephone calls your business requires.

If you’re ready to enjoy more success, natural energy and confidence, then I encourage you to look at the areas of your life and business which need some spring cleaning. Perhaps this includes your sales, marketing, referrals, finances, management and leadership skills. Or perhaps you tend to procrastinate, to run out of time or feel stressed.

I invite you make a commitment to start spring cleaning today. Choose the areas you want to clean up and devise a plan of action. Start by asking yourself some questions. Ideally, what do I want this area of my life to be like? What do I need to get rid of? What do I want to put in its place? What is getting in the way of this? Where am I now in this particular area? Look at the difference between where you are now, what you want to clear out and ideally where you want to be. Now break this down into smaller steps. Steps which feel achievable for you and will take you forward. Take the first step forward today. A radical spring clean puts the zest back into your life and gives you the freedom to think bigger and reach for the sky.

DOING THE “RIGHT” THING ISN’T ALWAYS EASY
By Carol James

I know it’s sometimes hard to do the right thing. It gets complicated by many different circumstances, such as our own self interest, fears that may be triggered and our definition of what makes something “right.”

To people who operate purely from self-interest, the right thing to do is whatever is best for them at the time (narcissists).

To people who are afraid, the right thing is whatever ends the source of their fear (living with an abuser).

To others, a right action may only be right for some people, but harmful to others (waging war).

There are probably as many different versions of what is right as there are people. And rightness can be a moving target.

To me it’s very simple; the right thing means taking responsibility for my own actions and doing what’s best for all people affected. If I cause an accident or damage another person’s property, I consider it to be my fault and I must make it right for the people who were affected. In business, if I mess up on an order or shipment, I make it right.

I make it right because it’s the fair and right thing do to.

I know how it feels to be on the other side, like when I found out someone broke one of my glasses but didn’t tell me. Or when someone I knew stole a favored Christmas ornament.

Do unto others as you would have them do onto you.

That’s the motto I strive to live by.

Unfortunately, and sadly, there are many people who do not share my beliefs about doing the right thing. For instance, my 92 year-old mom recently fell outside, in the dark pouring rain, walking across her neighbors yard to get to her mailbox, wearing flimsy, cheap backless slippers on wet grass and mud, causing her to slip (either on the wet grass, the mud or the water drainage cover) and land on her face and shoulder, but continuing to slide until she hit the Arborvitae bush. She broke a rib, her arm and nose and had a gash in her forehead that required nine stitches.

And because her knees were bad, she was unable to get up and lay there in the rain, bleeding, for about thirty minutes, until miraculously, a neighbor heard her cries and rescued her.

Initially, her story about what happened was to blame the cheap slippers that caused her to lose her balance and fall, and she acknowledged that the path she took to the mailbox in the rainy darkness was not a wise decision either. But as word spread about her accident, people started telling her to take pictures of the wounds and to contact a lawyer and insurance.

Her story about what happened changed, absolving her of all blame, and shifting it instead to the, “stupid neighbor” “” the same neighbor that rescued her “” “who planted a flower bed” in their own yard(the shortcut to the mailbox)that she had to step over. Next she blame the company who installed the water drainage cover, then concluded with the mobile park landowner, who immediately said they would pay $5000 of her medical bills once she filled out the forms.

To me, blaming those other people and wanting to profit from her carelessness — this was the sixth fall that I am aware of in the past eight years; she has always been accident prone — is not the right thing to do. Plus, it will cost her only $4 for her antibiotic prescription and nothing else because she has very good insurance coverage.

I made my feelings known, and when it was clear that we did not share the same meaning of doing the right thing, I backed off.

Then she told me not to tell anyone about the slippers or her history of accidents and falling, to protect her secret, just like she did frequently when I was a young child. She would do something behind my father’s back, then tell me what she did and tell me not to say anything to my dad.

Are you kidding? Don’t tell Dad? Of course I won’t tell Dad because if I did he would immediately confront you, and you would know it came from me, and then I would get punished by you. I learned very quickly and early on to keep my mouth shut.

Once I left home, I never allowed her to put me in that situation again, until now, nearly six decades later.

As I drove home I thought about what had transpired, and knew I would not lie for her. I do not agree with her wanting others to pay for her carelessness, but it’s not my choice to make.

So the right thing for me is to step out of it totally; she will do what she wants to do. It’s always been that way, and it is her life to live. She will be the one to pay the price of reconciling her actions.

What goes around comes around.

She is who she is, and at this late stage of her life, it’s unlikely she will change. So, once again, I am being given an opportunity to separate the behavior of the woman from the child who was never loved, and love her despite her actions.

It’s the right thing to do.

A TOUCH OF HUMOR: SHORT BUT SWEET

Ain’t Broke

Most people believe that “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”
Engineers believe that “if it ain’t broke,” it doesn’t have enough features yet.

———-

Celebrating The Raise

My sister landed a good job with an accounting firm, and after a while she got a generous raise. The day she found out about it, her husband picked her up from work, and they stopped for ice cream.

As they continued home, my sister blurted out, “Isn’t it hard to believe that I have a job that pays this much money?”

Just then, she went to toss the last of her ice cream cone out the window. However, the window was closed, and it smacked against the glass.

Her husband replied calmly, “Yes.”

———-

Strengths and Weaknesses

A job applicant was asked, “What would you consider to be your main strengths and weaknesses?”

“Well,” he began, “my main weakness would definitely be my issues with reality–sometimes I have a little trouble telling what’s real from what’s not.”

“Okay,” said the interviewer. “And what are your strengths?”

“I’m Batman.”

———-

Magic Lamp

A programmer was walking along the beach when he found a lamp. Upon rubbing the lamp, a genie appeared who stated, “I am the most powerful genie in the world. I can grant you any wish you want, but only one wish.”

The programmer pulled out a map of the Mediterranean area and said, “I’d like there to be a just and lasting peace among the people in the Middle East.”

The genie responded, “Gee, I don’t know. Those people have been fighting since the beginning of time. I can do just about anything, but this is beyond my limits.”

The programmer then said, “Well, I am a programmer and my programs have a lot of users. Please make all the users satisfied with my programs, let them ask for sensible changes before I start writing the programs and no changes after I start.”

Genie: “Uh, let me see that map again.”
